The sapo del desierto de Sonora (Sonoran Desert toad) is a toad species from northern Mexico that has become increasingly popular among shamans and scientists due to its toxin secretions.
Intended as a defense mechanism against predators, in humans this poisonous substance has psychoactive properties that can cause hallucinations and it can be used to treat anxiety, depression, stress, addictions, etc.
