SOLD OUT – Guided Tour at the MET: Divinity in Maya Art + Brunch at Mexican Restaurant
February 4 @ 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM EST
$35.00
Come explore this amazing exhibit about Maya art at the MET with your friends en español. During our exclusive visit to the exhibit Lives of the Gods: Divinity in Maya Art, we’ll explore the work of Maya artists and how they depicted their gods in imaginative ways from finely painted ceramics to exquisitely carved, towering sculptures and jade, shell and obsidian ornaments.
We’ll talk about how Maya art evoked the relationship between the divine, human and natural world and its importance in today’s world.
After the tour visit, the group will go to a local Mexican restaurant on 86th Street. (We’ll each get separate checks.)
This is a wonderful opportunity to learn about art, meet amazing people and practice Spanish.
The tour is completely in Spanish with English to clarify some specific topics. Space is limited, RSVP now!
