Hermenegildo Anglada Camarasa was an influential painter from Barcelona, Spain.
One of the leading representatives of the Catalan modernism movement, and one of the first Spanish painters to recieve recognition in the United States in the 20th century, Camarasa’ s work revolved around his passion for the female figure and dances like the flamenco, and it was heavily influenced by the cultura gitana.
