Bernardo de Gálvez was a military leader and government official from Malaga, Spain, who played a key role in the American Revolutionary War.

As governor of Spanish Louisiana, Gálvez supported the Thirteen Colonies and their French allies by providing vital military supplies, financial aid and asylum.

After Spain officially declared war against the British Empire, Gálvez led his army across Louisiana, Alabama and Florida, achieving several victories on the battlefields and dealing a massive blow to the British forces in the Gulf Coast.
