It’s easy to think that the terms “asimismo”, “así mismo” and “a sí mismo” are the same, but they are quite different:

Asimismo = también (also, too), además (in addition): 

• El gobierno está trabajando para obtener más dosis de la vacuna de COVID lo antes posible; asimismo, presentó un nuevo plan de reglas para evitar más contagios. The government is working to get more dosis of the COVID vaccine as soon as posible; in addition, it introduced a new set of rules to avoid new cases.

Así mismo = de la misma manera (in the same way or manner)

• La torta está riquísima; prepárala así mismo para la fiesta y será un éxito. The cake is delicious; make it the same way for the party and it will be a success.

A sí mismo = a él mismo / a ella misma (to one self)

• Juan se dijo a sí mismo que todo estaría bien. Juan told himself that everything would be OK.

 

‘Asismismo’ and ‘así mismo’ can also work as synonyms when we use the latter to mean ‘additionally’.
