Spanish Guided Tour at The MET: El Greco, Arte & Misticismo
Have fun practicing your Spanish conversation skills during an enjoyable morning of arte y español
Join us at the museum for an exclusive tour through the masterpieces of Doménikos Theotokópoulos, better known as El Greco. Together, we will practice our Spanish while we take in every little detail of his signature elongated figures, vibrant colors, and deep spirituality.
During our visit, we’ll pick up helpful tips on how to look beyond the surface of the canvas, decode their religious symbolism, practice expressing our thoughts and discuss the works’ social, cultural and historical background.
The tour is completely in Spanish with English to clarify some specific topics.
Spanish level: All levels are welcome, but some knowledge of Spanish is highly recommended.
Meeting point: Meet the group at the museum’s entrance by the information desk. Meeting time is 10:45 am. The tour will start at 11:00 am on the dot.
How much: $48 for all. The fee includes the museum tickets.
