Virtual Art Visit in Spanish – Tell me a picture: Diego Rivera

¡Vamos a hablar de arte en español!
This month we’ll dive into the world of Mexican murals with Sueño de una tarde dominical en la Alameda Central (Dream of a Sunday Afternoon in Alameda Central Park). This is one of Diego Rivera’s most recognizable and celebrated murals and it was painted between 1946 and 1947.
This colossal work measures over 15 meters in length and serves as a vast historical photograph México, bringing together more than 400 years of Mexican history in an imaginary stroll through the capital’s oldest park.
This is a fantastic opportunity to improve your Spanish speaking and listening skills, critical thinking and art appreciation abilities in a friendly setting.
The talk will be in Spanish with English for clarification only.
