Música para conversar: Contemporary Colombian Music

Music is an artistic manifestation present in all cultures of the world. In addition to showing the language in use, the music reflects the customs and traditions of each culture. For this reason, the pedagogical potential is valuable in the field of language teaching-learning.

In this course, contemporary Colombian music will be used to teach vocabulary, culture, and grammatical structures in a fun and practical way using popular songs from Colombia. In addition, oral comprehension will be reinforced, and students will be encouraged to talk about the themes of the songs that will be heard in class.

• Level: Spanish for Higher Beginners (Spanish 5)
