Dolores Olmedo, patrona de las artes mexicanas

Dolores Olmedo was a Mexican businesswoman and philanthropist who dedicated her life to preserve art and promote Mexican culture.

Close friend of famous muralist Diego Rivera, Dolores Olmedo had the biggest collection of art work by Rivera and Frida Kahlo which she donated to the people of Mexico and is housed in a museum bearing her name, located in Xochimilco, at Mexico City’s southern extreme.
