Last time our food crawl was a total success. This time around, we’ll have a food stroll along Jackson Heights, Elmhurst, and Corona.
We’ll start our food and cultural adventure at the 74th train station. First, we’ll stop at a Jackson Heights Colombian restaurant where we’ll try some delicious empanadas and coffee. After our Colombian cup of coffee, we’ll have authentic Mexican food. Our culinary adventure will continue along Roosevelt Avenue where will have some Ecuadorian food. Later, we will head to a Dominican restaurant and our next stop will be a tortillería where will see how corn tortillas are made. We’ll end our food tour with some Mexican ice-cream.
We’ll speak Spanish at all times. This is a unique opportunity to practice the language and experience a full cultural immersion in one of the most diverse neighborhoods in New York city.
Who: Anybody who wants to practice Spanish and taste new food.
Meeting place: Take the 7, E, F, M, R lines from Manhattan and get off at Jackson Hts – Roosevelt Av Station. We’ll meet at the corner of 75th Street and Roosevelt Avenue, next to the Chase bank.
