Guided Art Tour at The Hispanic Society
May 13 @ 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM EDT$20.00
Join us for a guided tour in Spanish of the Great Spanish Painter Joaquin Sorolla at the Hispanic Society of America Museum.
During our visit, we’ll examine and discuss “the monumental series of 14 paintings known as Vision of Spain by the Valencian master Joaquín Sorolla y Bastida, the preeminent artist in Spain at the turn of the 20th century.”
The Hispanic Society is home to a vast collection of art, sculptures, paintings, textiles, and other important historical and archaeological relics from Spain, Portugal and Latin America. Host to some of the finest work in the Hispanic art world, this museum is a true hidden treasure of New York City.
After our time at the museum, at around 2:00 pm, the group will head to a Dominican restaurant nearby for some food and drinks – this is optional, food is not included in the event’s cost.
This is a great opportunity to practice Spanish, learn about fine art, history, have lots of fun and meet like-minded amigos. Space is limited, RSVP now!
The tour-lecture will be mainly in Spanish with English used just for clarification of some topics.
