Come join us for the ultimate cultural experience en español: The empanada route!
Let’s admit it, there are few things as pleasant as going down the street, buying an empanada and enjoying it in all its variants: meat, cheese, fried plantain and cheese, sweet, fried, baked… So, to make this easier, we bring you the Empanada Route: a tour of the most delicious Latin American empanadas in Jackson Heights and Elmhurst. We’ll savor the best empanadas from different countries of the Spanish-speaking world: Colombia, Argentina, México, Uruguay and The Dominican Republic.
We’ll start our food and cultural adventure at the 82nd Street and Roosevelt Avenue by the #7 train station. First, we’ll stop at a local food place in Jackson Heights to have a cup of coffee with our first round of empanadas. Our next stop will be Mexican empanadas. We’ll continue our culinary adventure along Roosevelt Avenue where we’ll have some traditional Mexican drinks. Afterwards, the group will be ready to taste some savory Uruguayan and Argentinean empanadas. We’ll conclude our amazing culinary adventure at a Dominican restaurant with more empanadas, of course.
This is a special event, and the cost of the culinary tour includes the food provided by the tour guide. If you want to try some additional food, you have to pay for it out your pocket.

Where: Meet the group at the corner of 82nd Street and Roosevelt Avenue, next to OBLEAS bakery.
Meeting place: Take the # 7 train and get off at 82nd Street. You can take the E, F, M, R lines from Manhattan and get off at 74th Roosevelt Avenue and then transfer to the #7 train and get off at 82nd Street. Or you can also walk from the 74th Station to 82nd Street.
