The tango is a dance and musical genre that originated in Argentina and Uruguay. In Argentina in particular tango has become an integral part of this country’s culture and identity, and it even has it’s own national day.
Tango’s National Day is celebrated in December 11 in honor of two men that were deeply influential within this genre: Carlos Gardel & Julio de Caro.
