Join this course to learn about Hispanic civilization, its history and culture represented through unique pieces of art from the Metropolitan collection.
In this amazing 6-week course, we’ll discover the world of the Ancient Mayas; the glory of the Spanish Empire; the colonial art of the Americas and Dalí and the avant-garde artistic manifestations. This course is strictly designed to hone your conversational skills while exploring the works of the greatest artists from the Spanish-speaking world. This is a unique hybrid course with 2 sessions in-person at the MET and 4 lessons live online.
From stelas to architecture, you’ll discover how the most famous Hispanic artists have captured the essence of a culture’s brightest hopes, deepest anxieties, and most profound aspirations.
