Pedro Albizú Campos was a Puerto Rican attorney and politician who became a leading figure in Puerto Rico’s fight for independence. Also known as “Don Pedro” and “el último libertador de América”, Campos spent 26 years in prison for his attempts to overthrow the United States ruling on the island.
